I'm not sure who needs to see/hear this right now but I came across this on the internet while trying to figure out the best way to remove a roll pin holding the gear shift to the steering column. Worked like a charm and was FAR easier than trying to hold a punch and swing a hammer while lying upside down. I used the suggestion in the video and wrapped a cloth where the pin came out as it was going to be towards the instrument cluster. Nice and easy! If anyone else has a handy tip - feel free to post them in here.
And I've always turned my nose up at palm nailers, who would a thought. Think I'll add this to my Christmas wish list.
