Hot Rods Take a walk through my garage.

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Kiwi Kev, Apr 15, 2024.

  1. Over the years I have posted a lot of stuff and have received a lot of comments about what is in the background so I thought I would make a video of my garage and share.

Dang! That’s a lot of cool stuff!! Just out of curiosity, how rare are those four bolt Halibrand front wheels I spied on the 33/4 ?

    Hey @Kiwi Kev
I sure don't want to throw any shade on the collection that @Moriarity has.

His is all inside of his house, and its pristine and all dusted and spotless, which is to be commended.

I have been out to Squeak Bells place a couple of time's out in Bakersfield, and no doubt, he has a super cool collection as well.

I have also been to Jack Mendenhall's place for the (GAS UP), out in Buellton California, and that is indeed one of the best collection's going.

But after seeing this amazing video of your place, and all of the more than cool things that have been collected, especially the very unique reading room, (the indoor, out house, sulfur gas parlor).

I would say hands down brother, you win the top prize for really having the best, cool hot rod shop, hang out and vintage time machine, that I have seen so far on the H.A.M.B.
    HUBBA HUBBA Indeed!

I really appreciate the well organized shop, everything in its place, but the fact that its a working shop, and isn't spotless, is genuine, there is honest dust visible everywhere!
    Gotta love that !

Do you still own this kick ass Mercury Colony Park wagon?
I saw it at the CHRR at FAMOSO years ago.

Thanks for taking the time to make the video and share it with the H.A.M.B. Universe.
    Thanks from Dennis.

    Amazing collection,thanks for sharing.:D

  16. Ronzmtrwrx….Those front wheels are kidney hole magnesium Halibrands that are turned around. I got them in a trade about 35 years ago and in that time I have only seen a few pairs for sale at swap meets and always very expensive. Weird to me because so many cars ran them in the 60’s. 4 hole is probably rarer than 5 but not more desirable. Some guys ordered them that way back then just because they had 4 lug hubs.

That's all? Boy, I've seen more at a local yard sale. On the other side do really appreciate all that you have shared with us.

  22. 41 GMC K-18…….. Thanks for kind words! I have been to most of the places you mentioned and I really enjoy checking out the stuff on display. I don’t consider this a competition and I know you don’t either. This is just what has accumulated at my place over the years, I tend to keep things so maybe I’m a pack rat. I enjoy sharing with you nuts because I know you like this stuff as much a I do. I still have the wagon but it is in many pieces and been off the road for many years. It needs patch panels and a lot more. It is for sale if someone wants a big project.
