What an Amazing piece! John Gerber was a land based "barnstormer" in an era when the only limitation was your imagination (and the ability to create your imaginings) You are right there with him, What A Creation!

Can I ask a question regarding the front spring, why has the shape been altered on the main leaf and the next 2.
could the same effect not be achieved by extending the front perch? or is the axle set forward for some other reason.
Here in the UK there are not many speedsters and I hope to fabricate one myself so I'm fine tuning the design, I hope to build a similar one to the Gerber special and I particularly like the lower seat position and the off-set chassis.
I have a model A chassis but I'm not sure if a complete new chassis is the way to go.
I will be using an 8ba flat-head and a banjo rear.

When I saw this very cool creation at the CHRR at FAMOSO a number of years ago, I really didn't know what I was looking at.
At that time, I wasn't aware of John Gerber either.
Indeed, this is a very kick ass machine.
    Thanks from Dennis.
