I am not a facebook member, so a fb link is useless to me.

I can't access the fb link, but this car was for sale a few years ago on CL. is it the same car? they were claiming it to be a Roth build at that time. It was NOT built by Roth , It was built by Bob Knessel . there is some speculation that possibly Roth painted or striped it for them after it was built but Roth did not build it..

Yes @Moriarity same car although a lot cheaper !! It looks to be in the exact same condition as the article you posted. Nothing more or nothing less appears to have been done since that listing and this current FB posting....

These are always fun for the investigative reporting so many members here are known for. It never disappoints how fast a car can be identified and at the same time have the curtain pulled open!

  9. Looks like it was registered in Calif. at one time so there must be a ***le for it somewhere.

Other than his Ford pickup which was just a paint job, the Lil' Jewel which was a pedestrian '32 sedan street rod, his '55 Chevy which was a cheesy 'g***er', his Tweedy Pie T-bucket which he got credit for but didn't build, Roth never worked in steel. His true customs were all fibergl*** sculptures, not custom cars. Ed generally thought Detroit steel was uninspired junk.
