the battery is in the trunk which I can open with a hidden access ****on. I could put two ****ons in the trunk and wire them to the solenoid relays. I'll look into it this weekend. Thanks everybody!

Yesterday I welded Tee nuts to the back of the new latches and installed one on the p***enger side. I also made a bracket for a couple of push ****ons that will trip the relays that fire the door solenoid. They will serve as the Emergency access in case I lock my FOB in the car. My buddy who’s been doing all the wiring while I cut and weld ran two wires to the relays and got it all ****oned up. Everything works well but I might need to install a return spring on the interior door handle cable or the pull bar it’s tied to. When you use the interior door handle it doesn’t return to the closed position by itself. Happy with everything we got done yesterday. Was going to post. A couple of pics but don’t see a way to do it on my phone.

I have a similar problem with mine. They open just fine, but when I do have to use them, closing the door to latch is always a problem and takes several times trying before they actually latch. If the windows are down, which is almost always, I reach in and use the inside latch. doing it that way the doors close and latch every time. WTH. Does anyone have that problem?

You need a manual way to open the doors. Wires come unplugged, fuses blow, relays quit working.

In my car I put a separate power window switch hidden in the trunk which had a mechanical latch and the car battery. If the solenoids failed I simply let the p***enger window down from the trunk switch. Happened only once in 9 years but was I ever glad that time that I had made the extra way in. MIKE
