I have a set of Thomas magnesium adjustable rocker arms for a 1957-58 371 Oldsmobile. Anybody know anything about them? What is the rocker arm ratios?

I have a few, for the early engines. You see a lot of them in rough shape, where the push rod cups are damaged.

They were made in both 1.5 and 1.8 ratios, for the '49-'51 or '52-'58 engines.

I used them in the late '50s. 303 Olds street hot rod.

Is the catalog small enough to copy the whole thing?

    Hi Jack,
Do you have any information with them, the set that I purchased seem to be in great condition.

If I recall correctly you can measure from the center of the shaft to the center of the tip and divide that by measurement from the center to the center of the push rod and that will give you the ratio. Example: long distance of say 2.2 divided by the short distance of say 1.3 = 1.69

Plus, I had a set years ago that had 52 58 cast on the side to designate the 1.8 ratio.

A pic of the ones I have had for some time. No markings. 1.8 ratio mounted on early Olds shafts and 1.5 stands

I've seen them plain, with the aforementioned 52 58 cast on them, and with OLDS cast on them.

Thanks, I had sub-ed to that thread. But no mention of, much less copy of, pages relating to Stude stuff, esp mag rockers.
