I have a set of Thomas magnesium adjustable rocker arms for a 1957-58 371 Oldsmobile. Anybody know anything about them? What is the rocker arm ratios?
I have a few, for the early engines. You see a lot of them in rough shape, where the push rod cups are damaged.
I just purchased a Thomas catalog. Will try and post some pictures tonight. It has interesting info and products I never new they made.
Hi, is their any way to tell the difference between the 1.5 & 1.8 ratio's? Thank you in advance for your help.
Hi Jack, Do you have any information with them, the set that I purchased seem to be in great condition.
If I recall correctly you can measure from the center of the shaft to the center of the tip and divide that by measurement from the center to the center of the push rod and that will give you the ratio. Example: long distance of say 2.2 divided by the short distance of say 1.3 = 1.69
A pic of the ones I have had for some time. No markings. 1.8 ratio mounted on early Olds shafts and 1.5 stands FWIW
Thanks, I had sub-ed to that thread. But no mention of, much less copy of, pages relating to Stude stuff, esp mag rockers. Marcus...
