Got the '54 Caddy primered...came out a bit too satiny for me...but after we blok it down and reshoot it, it may be OK...working hard to get it ready for the Kontinental's event in Austin.

  2. NOTHING! But I took the wife and our son to the coast for the weekend. Went to a junk store, bought a 50's vintage Hamm's can to use as a radiator catch can..

Finshed the detail and ods & ends on the 4" channel and patched the cowl sides on the Tudor. Also got my 17" Denmans mounted on the rear - they have 4" white walls and look great!

I rechanneled my T-bucket again, I decided the 6 inch channel was to radical and this time did it only 4 inches.

  13. I posted my weekend progress pics under the other weekend progress thread... Seems like we have multiple personalities lately... two art attacks two weeks in a row and now two weekend progress threads! Whew!

Ripped the body off the 38 and took it to be blasted. Beats a year with a wire wheel and sandpaper. Funny thing is i had most of the outside cleaned up and wasted my time goin this route. But atleast my car il be done in this lifetime.

Got the wheel bearings done on my 59 Coupe DeVille. Just rebuilding the wheel cylinders and mounting the gas tank and she'll be drivable. 40Studedude the 54 looks great, I've been thinking of going with a Cadillac blue-ish color primer on my 59. [IMG]

Pulled the bumpers off the Caddy and pulled all of the interior out. Getting her ready for body and paint.

on the 41 changed plugs and wires and started to pull the oil pan. Need to remove the tranny to pull the pan. That will have to wait to next weekend.

put heat in the wife's work space.

pulled the hot rod out of the garage, put the Stude on the rack to fix an exhaust leak, fixed that and noticed a leaking freeze plug, poked it with a screw driver and the hole thing fell out dumping rusty water and big globs of stop-leak all over me.

that was pretty much the climax of events.

    Paul

oh yeah, picked up a salvagable set of rims for a future project pretty cheap,
a pair of 16x4s and a pair of 16x5s early Ford pattern solids.

pushed this ol bitch outside,,,,"out of sight out of mind"

i was spending way too much time on it,when it was supposed to just be a car bought on a "good" deal and work on at a later date....hahaha [IMG] but like most of us its been taking up way too much free time...

now i actually have room to work in my garage and (no pics) but started working the firewall and redoing some of my previous imperfections(that i did [IMG]) of the topchop on my lil black truck [IMG]

    ,,

p.s. you like how the ford matches my house, dontch ya....

Hmmm, that blue Chevy truck sure looks nice in my YARD. Guess I'll keep it a little longer (sorry Kris, I guess you don't get your truck back so soon.).

Tred to clean out my gas tank with Muratic Acid. Surprisingly, I didn't get the results I was looking for. It barely scratched the surface of the scale in the tank. [IMG]

I also stopped over at Lukester's for a bit after a local swap meet. I got to meet Jerry Reed (cool guy)

After the snide remarks ROCKY made about beating my ass with a big ass 395 pontiac. I built the frame mounts and cross member and now have a puny 354 HEMI in my 48 Ford 3 window coupe. I have to polish the Chrome front axle and tons of Chrome on the Hemi before I can post photos. You remember the old saying "IF IT DON'T GO, CHROME IT" well this old boat anchor is a dog, but it might have enough left in it to keep ROCKY'S win streak at MOKAN at a double goose egg [IMG]

Tell ROCKY that I'm out to get him and he'll need more than nitrous this time [IMG]
