Was the email he sent you from the Fordbarn very short and to the point? I have emailed him a few time and he seem to be that way with me.

I don't believe he had heard of the HAMB until I told him about a month ago. I warned him of doing an intro, but he didn't do that and his first post was in the cl***ifieds....oops. I don't know that he gets on the message board though?? He has been o.k. to deal with for me.
Yeah I seen the ad/first post in the cl***ifieds the other day. I've seen that 32 he's been trying to sell in Hemmings, Fordbarn, here, elsewhere, etc.,etc. for so long now it's like a landmark. He's only bringing it on himself by holding out.

HEY, Bird Guy, I wuvs da b****ie! I'm not going to air dirty laundry, so any details are unimportant, but I've dealt with lots and lots of vendors, sellers, and buyers and I'm always surprised when someone is rude when buying or selling old car parts. Maybe I'm an old-fashioned guy in "young" man's skin, but if I know someone is into old cars, especially something like '32s, I could chat with them all day and call them a friend by the end of the day. Let's just say that B the D doesn't give me that vibe. I asked about a part, he gave me a price and I told him that, sorry, I couldn't afford it. Thank you. I didn't expect to be insulted for being cheap. I posted here partly as a joke, but mainly because if I knew he was a HAMBer, I'd be sorely disappointed. I've had a lot of encounters with HAMBers, 99% of them great. If anyone didn't like me, they at least had the sense to talk about me after I left. It's no big deal. I'm going to go eat some cereal now. And get some blankie time! PS: Larry, thanks for watching my back.
Unfortunately not all HAMBers are a man of their word ... I know of a few Deuce deals that plain out **** ... and folks did not do what they said they would do and went against their word ... All ... for a few stupid 70 something year old car parts ...
