    Could someone help me out with the dimensions of a stock 1950 Mercury rear end.
    Looking for the following dimensions:

    A= ? inches
    B= ? inches
    C= ? inches (I've seen 61 and 61.25 inches)

    Thanks!

    The wheel mounting distance to wheel mounting distance (A) on my stock 1951 Merc. was 61 1/4 in. I sold the rear but I am sure the distance A is 61 1/4 in. as I measured it many times.
    The internet says 61in. That is incorrect. Read about it here.

    Just curious, why do you need this info? Are you changing rear ends?
    I never thought to measure the other distances you need.
    A 1971-73 Mustang 9 inch rear has the same dimension (A). I have a set of 1971-73 Mustang axles(with bearings) if you need them.

    Thanks for the response 19Fordy, Yes I'm changing the stock rear end for a Ford 9 inch. I need dimensions A and C to order the new housing.
