Technical Left or right. ? ?

    Building a 28 highboy with 8ba. Which side of engine should my throttle pedal p*** through firewall? Silly question I know but I've seen both sides used . Thanks

    A 28 never came with an 8BA, so stock isn't the reference.
    So you need to determine what intake and carb you are using.
    Then, what throttle linkage you are using.
    Then what other mods you are making that might interfere with the parts.

    Closest to the side the linkage is on the carburetor you plan to use.

    I had planned to use an offenhauser w holley4 barrel to get it going then switch to sharp 3x2 with 93s . So I guess I'll see what's what .

    Yes I agree with the above..
    Most applications show the linkage on the right side. Most stock tradition carbs with linkages are on the right side.
    Most times it’s preferable to stay away from steering, fuel lines and shift linkages positioned on the left side.

    Thanks . I just checked . 4 barrel is left and 3x2 is right . Right side it is .
     
  11. Billy,,,,wasn’t that a great movie,,,some excellent actors on that one !
    I always loved the scene where Mayo was talking to Worley,,,,”I’m talking to you mother- f*@$&R !
    Some actors can’t cuss correctly,,,but that was exactly like a street guy would talk .
    He meant it !
    Excellent movie!
