Someone I know is visiting the states to buy a vehicle and would like to drive it around for about a week before they ship it home. I know when I go to Mexico I have to buy Mexican Auto Insurance, does anyone know of an American Auto Insurance company that provides this service? I figure there's got to be someone here that's been down this road before. It's a 1960 Suburban, so insurance should be easy to get on it (as opposed to something like a 30's roadster or whatever).

I tried to find auto insurance for some Aussie friends that wanted to ship their car here for Power Tour. I never could find a company that was willing to do it. This was before I had the HAMB as a resource. Maybe someone here does know. I would ask the seller if he would keep his insurance on it for that extra week. Good luck.

Try Esurance.com I have never used them but from what a buddy told me you only pay for a month up front on your credit card. I guess having a month of insurance would cover it if something happened on the trip home.
