I have installed a rebuilt Chevy 153-cid into a 1951 Willys Truck. I am not able to get the engine to build oil pressure using an electric drill and oil pump primer shaft. I have also used the starter to turn over the engine, while using the drill/primer tool. My oil pump primer shaft doesn’t have any bushings and I am turning clockwise. No external oil leaks, good flow when I removed the oil pressure sensor. Are there any oil gallery plugs under the timing cover, I may have missed?

Problem Solved: The aftermarket 9/16" steel core plug slipped out of the oil galley hole and was in the oil pan. It was located behind the timing gear. I tapped the hole to a 3/8"-NPT, and installed a steel NPT plug. I have heard from another builder , that he used a steel 37/64" freeze plug.
