Features Corvette hot rods - picture thread

This car not only looks great, it intrigues me. Do you know if the scoops on the rear quarters are for brake or differential cooling or what their purpose is? It certainly looks more road course oriented than drag.

I always thought that was a great design element. Whoever at GM came up with the idea of emphasizing the “V” to represent V8 hit a home run.
