Yes the engine is in the middle, and yes it is a blown Hemi.

    No part of the engine is past the rear axle center-line, so no, it is not rear engine.

    I don't yet dare show the front suspension.

    I should probably mention that I will be adding a few inches to the rear frame section, and moving the engine and transmission forward, so that I can slide in a custom full-time AWD transfer case, with a 60/40 torque split, driving a Winters independent center section, in the front.

    The layout is pretty similar to how Bill Hite built 4WD, mid-engine supermodifieds in the 70's. Engine in car backwards, transfer case toward the center with the driveline offset to the right. Super cool!

    Not yet. The frame is in sections, as I do not yet have space to stick them together.

    Always been curious about this one as I'm drawn to the radical or extreme. I get the impression you don't get much time for this project, busy with life. I'd like to encourage you to press on! The world needs more of this far out stuff-carry on!
