I used to use several wraps of a rubber band. Worked great till I ran out of fingers. :(

  8. When I do that, it smells like the neighbours are cooking pork!!

  9. If we didn't have all of these cuts and bruises we weren't working hard enough. I am also on blood thinners, and very thin skinned, so if I bump into something it shows, and my wife will ask me "How did you do that ? " As for me, I usually don't know how I got the bump, bruise, cut etc. They just seem to show up. I usually just use a paper towel and duct tape until later.

If we can't stop the bleeding it really won't be funny. Sometimes lifesaving innovation and side splitting humor aren't so far apart especially when it works.

When a couple of ladies ( One I knew, the other had a problem )
approached me ( off duty ) in the bar, about a car that would not start.
After shopping at a nearby grocery, I agreed to help.
Told them sit tight I'll get a look. They said it was a mid size Ford near the store entrance.
A quick walk and I found it. Since it was a humid, warm spring day,
I figured either steamy corroded cables, or an agressive choke. No big.
I opened the the air cleaner, flipped the choke. Wiggled the terminals. They were tight.
A couple spins it fired up, drove it back to the bar,
When they were told all was well they went outside then returned to tell me that wasn't her car!
I raced back to the store found a different spot, the same row ( while sweating BULLETS )
Located the correct car, and found a faulty cable clamp WHEW.

That’s why I don’t leave my keys in the ignition, you never know when Tow Truck Tom will show up to work on it and steal it. :)

  27. I totally agree with you. I don't try to impress anyone. My friends accept me as I am. As for the others, who cares.

I got a chuckle out of this .... obvious a joke .... anyone know what it is?

A 1974 Model T with all the bells and whistles. I inherited it from my grandfather and I’m trying to get rid of it. If you haul it, I’ll cut the price by 1/2. Great condition; light rust, still drives.
