Thanks for the feedback guys, glad you all like it.
To Hotrodsurfer the wheels are C&Ds, an Aussie brand made in the mid to late 60s.I borrowed them off "QQMOON" about 10 years ago  .And to J Man
the motor is a "324" ci basically stock with #10 heads six 94s on a Offy intake and Spalding Famethrower ignition.
    Cheers Dago :)

Your truck looks bad-ass! My buddy is building a '56, and I can't wait to show him pics of yours. Great work!

Damn! That 3x2 just wasn't enough, huh?? :D What trans did you end up using?

I'll be starting on a similar project pretty soon.... '53 F-100, '56 324, slant-pan Hydro, Olds rearend, Buick wheels and a lowly 4x2 setup. ;) Was gonna go stick, but this is gonna be my tow vehicle for my '50 Olds.

Yes Seymour, I figured if 3x2 is good, 6x2 is twice as good.I ended up using
auto trans ,I'll save the 4spd stick for my 303 in my roadster.
    Cheers Dago :)

  19. QQmoon asked me to do a rough experiment...Appoligies Seymour for what I did to your truck.....;)

is this truck slated to go to the body shop? under the hood looks great but the right front fender looks like it had a run in with an angry Kangaroo.

Hey Charlie, Looks good mate! Now if you just get that top about 4 inches lower in the front and 2 1/2 inches in the back it'll be REALLY nice!

Keep up the good work and I'll send you some pictures of my '50 fastback soon. Take Care and say "Hi" to Corrine for me!

The stock front leaf springs were reset 4" lower, and the stock axle
was put above the springs. Sadly I have to bag it to make driveable on our wonderful aussie roads  . The rear springs are stock with the diff put above as well. The steering box had to be moved above the chassis to keep the geometry correct.
    Cheers Dago :)
