Hello. I have been a member for a while now, but this is my first post - have only been reading/learning from you guys up until now. I'd like to thank those who have typed so much helpful info on this forum. This car popped up on farcebook for $1200. It came with a clear ***le, and a new radiator (spawon, China special?) in the trunk. It had the 3.7 v6, and did run, but not well. The car is fairly solid, but not awesome. There is some rust, but living in MN, the car obviously didn't spend much of its life here. I had a low mile Vortec 350, seats (that I liked) from a 2004 Chevy Trailblazer, a 4l80e, decent Sony stereo, JBA ss headers, aluminum driveshaft - these parts came from a k2500 that I ended up parting out. I bought a summit carb intake, Edelbrock 1406, generic roller ok'd hei from speedway, fuel pressure regulator, 20 gallon fuel cell, walbro electric pump, Winters gated shifter and wired the 4l80e to shift manually, torque thrust OEM size wheels. Etc... This is where the car earned its name "H". It is short for Hantavirus. The interior was awful. I ended up gutting the car and pressure washing inside all panels etc. The entire interior ended up in the dumpster. Anything that had any soft material had to go. I started over by making door panels from some 1/8" (s****) mdf, added indoor/outdoor carpeting that I had on hand, cut some matting from rubber cow mats that I had. I then replaced the door/trunk lock cylinders with some eBay specials. Went through all door handles and windows, making all work again. I also made a rear firewall where the back seat used to be. This is now a running/driving car that gets used often. While the purists won't like what I've done, this car probably would have never been on the road again if I hadn't bought it.
