I was at the tail end of the middle building craze 80’s-90’s Last model I bought was a very detailed one if a 50 fleetline , still in the box !! ot or not most car guys where or are into model cars so this is more then relevant !!!!
found some build pics from my zinger clones the dune body in paint, candy lime gold over silver The Bug ch***is with double blown FE, note the headers just come off the bottom of the frame because you literally can't get your fingers between the exhaust ports of the engine and the inside of the body
This is a serious question and not being a smart ***. With the quan***y and quality of your collection of cars, books, trophies, general memorabilia, boats, and spark plug wires (I had to add that); do you have a plan for any kind of expansion to the property or house? I am sure that you will uncover some hidden gem in the future that will be a must have. I apologize if I am getting too personal.
I can't add on, And there is no way that I am going to move...If I find something I want, something else will have to go...
I've never shot any of it! I've told you before, the majority of people are boring, and just want it painting back stock wildest **** I've gotten into in the last 10 years was a Harley servi-car i shot candy brandywine... or the $20,000.00 worth of Ford ruby red 3 stage I sprayed last year. When I seen that candy lime gold, I could see it on my dashboard and me with a big ol **** eating grin on my face
the funny thing about candy lime gold is, when you spray it over a silver base it ends up being more of a green (lime) color like the Dune buggy zinger. but when you spray it over a gold base it looks candy gold. Candy pagan gold on the other hand looks gold when you spray it over a silver or gold base... pretty cool ****...
Just a hint, I found out quite by accident that in my area you can build underground without regard to square footage, so check your local zoning.
mine has a ba*****t but it is a walkout as my house is cut into a hill. the room I have my cars in is technically the ba*****t
LOL, a typical ba*****t would have a furnace, hot water tank, maybe a washer & dryer and some storage of **** you don't use anymore. Mark's ba*****t...just has a million dollars worth of show cars
When I visited the Museum of American Speed in Lincoln NE last year, they had an area spotlighting Bob Larrivee and the ISCA. This one was on display, guessing it's an original? Either way, it was sure neat to see. I'd love to have one like it in my ba*****t!
oh my, no, that is not the original, the original has been restored by Chuck Miller. the original has an FE Ford engine and cragar SS wheels, that one is some ones modern interpretation with a sbc and modern wheels....
There was no info on the thing at all that I could see, it was just sitting there and I don't know all the details on these things so that's why I was guessing. Good point about the wheels... I guess you notice things like that! Thanks for setting the record straight.
Hello 61D, I have an unusual question for you that is unrelated to the post you made. I am trying to gather more information about a speed shop that used to exist in my area that I've seen you mention in your previous posts. Would you happen to know anyone affiliated with the Swartz Brothers Speed Shop, formerly in Alexandria, Virginia? I believe it existed between the late 60s to late 80s. I see many car enthusiasts mention the shop on these online forums, but am hoping to speak to one of the previous owners or their kids. Anything you could do would be a great help! best, Ed
Ed.. I am not that much of an old guy at the young age of 62. Look up oldracer here on the HAMB. He's Dave Hale of the S&S racing team. Good chance Dave would know.
