Here's a cool shot by our good buddy Jim Marlett. BARNYARD running from certain death. By the way, I beat him up on the strip. JOE
What's so bad about Camaros? They don't belong here, of course, but they aren't ****ing imports, for ****'s sake!
Holy ****, I just noticed that! I also have read in magazines refering to them as "girl's cars". I knew one girl with a 327 4speed in high school, other than that all the good one were guy's cars.
if you had any idea how many times I have had to explain that Camaors and Mustangs aren't muscle cars, they are pony cars, and pony cars are for chicks, you would fall out of your chair.
Cant touch this subject, I own a camaro and a rod, plan on running them against each other when I get my sedan done though..............just to see what its got
Ha Ha Ha...where can I get that sticker for MY Camaro??? (I want to give the flat black street rodders something to laugh at as they watch the tail-lights fade away!)
Only in defense because I used to be an import tuner, on a professional race level, will I say that yes that scene has gone to full ****! BUT at the same time there are descent builders and cars of proven quality (none of that Nopi ****). Either or looks like you guys had a blast at the drags.
We did have a hoot at the drags. BARNYARD, SCALLOP53, SPARKY54 and I all drove over 1000 miles to get there. Nobody gave BARNYARD a bit of **** that day, and this post was just in fun... way back then. Shortly after we all got back to Wisconsin, BARNYARD bought a '34 Ford truck project from me. I haven't seen it since he rolled out of here with it, but I hear it's coming along pretty nice. He saw the light, good people... he saw the light... JOE PS~ That Camaro is super clean. Not a car to be ashamed of at all...
I have slowly converted from the muscle car lover that I use to be, to a rodder. I don’t know what it is about the cl***ic cars but there’s nothing like em. hey joe, start any fires lately?
Yeah, ditto Hawkeye. Bought a pony car for the family so we could attend events as just that, a family. Carroll Shelby called it (stang) the secretary's car, but what the hey, the kids love it and they are still well liked down here in New Zealand. Although every second mofo now thinks it's cool to import a stang and the prices are dropping. For me it's simple, it's US tin, it's Left hand drive and V8 and it beats the **** out of driving a toyota etc etc. But it will make way eventually to the much wanted deuce. That will likely need to be imported from your shores as well as they don't tend to grow on trees down here.
I agree, anything available with over 400 hp is a muscle car. But not a traditional rod, so not really appropriate for discussion here.
