    Hey legends,

i have some grey rubberish type stuff coming through my fuel line, tank has been pulled out and cleaned and was no trace of it in their anyway. The engine is new so im wondering if its coming from inside the mechanical pump? Could the diaphragm be falling apart inside? Or somewhere on the original fuel line more likely?

What seal's your fuel filter? If I had to guess, I'd say it probably came with the filter. (***embly debris) Unless you checked and cleaned the filter before install. Head scratcher for sure.

Looks like tank liner to me as well.

Reading your thread from a few weeks ago, and looking at that photo, the irregular shape suggests tank liner.
Possibly put a filter before the pump to eliminate the pump as a possibility, as suggested on the other thread.
I once had a gas cap seal fall to pieces on me and most, not all, ended up in the filter.
Has someone possibly put sealer/gasket goo between filler pipe and tank ?

Could be pump diaphragm breaking up but before you replace it, check any bits of rubber hose in your fuel system.
    Cheers

I know one thing, those screw together fuel filters are the cause of a bunch of engine fires, vibrations cause them to unscrew and leak. do yourself a favor and get rid of it before the fire
