I think I have the Jeffersonville city park. Has a big parking lot, shelter house with picnic tables, and porta potties.

Might be decent during the daytime, not so cold at night like last year.

  5. September 20-21 is best for us, the last weekend in August we have the Antique Motorcycle swap meet and races in Davenport Iowa.

It's official, September 20th-22nd. Lloydfest 2024 is on! Put it in your calendar. I just put in my vacation time. Car show-swap meet- gathering. I'll get my ass on the ball and iron it all out.

Should I open it to locals? Something like pre 1972? Thoughts?

And was the prizes good last year? Ideas on prizes? Might try to get a mig or a plasma cutter this year, or both.

I'll get @John B to make trophies. There'll be a most traditional category to honor Moriarity, and a longest journey to honor Squirrel, and a biggest prick for Corncobcoupe lol... the group will choose the winners, and instead of best of show, I'm thinking a BobK award? These are ideas, you guys give me input. I'm the host, but this is for you guys and girls.

Yeah but it was just too cold in the evening. Not that nice during the day either. There was a bunch of us sitting there all night freezing around a small fire lol

Alyn and I are going to be at Bristol for the night race, Sept. 21. Her daughter gave her two tickets for Mother's Day.

  15. The prizes last year were fantastic! I am honored to have won one. The drive through the country was incredible too. I’ll put in for vacation days tomorrow!!

The Fest only comes around once a year ,,,lol .

Take one of those beautiful Bandit specials and drive her on down !
Or your beautiful Oldsmobile 442 , ,or your beautiful Flathead,,,or ,,,,,,wait a minute,,,Better yet,,,just get on a plane and get a rental at the airport !
A lot easier it sounds like .

It would be awesome to meet you,,,I have always admired your talent and work ethic .
You go to the last detail in restoring your vehicles,,,I wish Moriarity could show up too !

If I make it back that far I am going to go see @Moriarity
So many of you guys live back there. Watch those storms tonight. I see some thunder, hail and twisters brewing.

There's a show there the last Saturday of July that I go to sometimes. It's a good location for a show for sure.

Lloyd, the way things are going this year, I am unable to make any kind long term commitments past mid July (even that one is on shaky ground right now).
I've noted the date and we will have to see how things play out.
The park looks like a great place to hold Lloydfest 24 to me.

Lmao! They'd shit if we drove in the horse arena! That blacktop lot and shelter house is what I was talking about. They cover most of the park with the car show John mentioned. I'm still waiting to hear back, and I've gotta ask about people camping.

I like the idea of the park and also opening it up to locals. The more the merrier.
We can still park together and hang out just like the snooty Vette guys do.
It’s early for me to commit yet. I’m starting a part time job and don’t know my schedule.
