    Hey,
I recently purchased a 1937 Packard 120 Business Coupe, and was wondering if you thought I paid too much for it. I ended up paying $7000, and it comes with a new tinted gl*** windshield and back gl***, new Steele rubber for the two and the vent windows, as well as replated vent window chrome. The body is rust free.

    What do you think?

Yeah. I know. I was just thinking from a market value standpoint. I'm happy with the purchase, though.

Sweet looking car and it is a 3 window!!!!! That is probally the first on that I have seen. To price depends on the buyer and the want of the buyer, if you were willing to pay that then it is worth that.

I think you have a great car there.
I have always had a soft spot for 37 Packards.
If you were happy with what you paid for it, what does it matter.
I've learned that whenever I buy something to be happy with what I've paid for it.
Otherwise you can drive yourself Nuts.

  6. You never pay too much---you just buy too soon :)

Like said, if you're happy that's all that matters. If you're not, you must worry more about what people think than what you want--and that ain't no way to be!
I think it's gorgeous.....know of any others any cheaper? Yea, I thought so.... :D

My Dad use to say If you want it or Need it don't ask how much just buy it. I have lived by that with my projects as much as I could and to date don't have very many regrets other than the ones I tried to think to much on and missed.

    Is that $7000 Canadian funds?

Regardless, $7k for a rust free car that has potnetial to be a cool hot-rod is not a bad investment.

I think it was a fair deal - especially considering how cherry that grille is. That's got to be a pretty pricey part on its own...

OH MAN YOU GOT RIPPED!!!!!!!!!!! Why I saw a rusted, clapped out Packard 4 door sedan on ebay for only $4,000. Then you could have put another $4,000 in body pannels, if you could find them, and still have a piece of **** when you got done.

    Make you feel any better?

You did good. now quit beating yourself up, or quit bragging, which ever the case is, and get to hot rodding that thing. The Pile up is this coming weekend, you driving it down?

    I'm smelling a case of buyer's remorse. ;)

I'm sure you're sittin' there feeling the pain between the cheeks for what you paid, but give yourself some time to get over it. $7K is painful, but you have to remember what it bought you.
