I love hearing *GOOD* stories about the wives of car guys. Great car, and and awesome wife to buy it for you. Congratulations on both!
No, that's my favorite car of all time...36 roadster. That blew me away when that pic came up. I was expecting a pile of project on a trailer or something. Congrats, she's cool...the car too Pete
i'm showin this to my wife...wtf im fighting for just a body to start workin on. your lucky..very lucky!
Hah! My girl just happened to be looking over my shoulder when I was reading this ... she gave me a friendly slap on the back and said "Don't hold your breath." Congratulations you lucky mofo.
I saw that car in Louisville for sale! Great car and really nice price. Wife reminds me of mine. She has bought me 2 crate motors and some 22" wheels and tires for my daily driver... Great women are hard to find! Hold onto her and enjoy that sweet 36!
your a lucky guy! My wife told me to buy this and that i needed a project for the winter and it would be good therapy after my heart attack. Hopefully some time next summer ill have 2 deuces on the road ! Dave
I got my first hotrod from my wife when I turned 30 and like you, she surprised me. It was sitting in the garage when I came home from work. She told me that here was a mouse or a rat in the garage or something in that effect. I immediatly grabbed something to kill this with, opened the garage door looked under the car for a mouse and not realize the car until 10 or 15 seconds later. One of my most memorable moments indeed. It's no 36, ( 41 Stude) but her sentiments were the same. great feeling indeed to have a wife that gets it. cool post, nice car....someday i will own a survivor 36.
you now have 2 perfect things... your wife and now that beautiful 36. CONGRATS on having both!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
NOw that's a til death do you part story... the Wife AND the car. So bitchin. Tell your wife she RULES for me.
That car is sweet. My wife bought me a 52 Chevy last Father's Day. It is nice to have a wife that is into the cars also.
You have a very special wife, to support you that much, it's awesome. I'm happy for you and envy you at the same time.
I amgoing to print this thread and include it in my Pre-Nuptial agreement -you know -in case I'm ever of a marrying mind again...
Very Nice Carter... Can I look forward to meeting your wife and going for a ride in that Cherry Roadster next spring?... Dave Brisco
Well, I was pleasantly surprised by how long the burnout lasted before the tire blew. After 5 or 6 minutes, the tires usually blow, but yours lasted a very respectable 7 minutes and 46 seconds!!
Carter, it was nice talking with you the other day. I was not picturing this car looking as sexy as it does. Wow! Talk soon....
