    Austin & Ben,

If you don't mind let me know a couple of days ahead. I'd like to meet you at Ben's place; see your car (if you drive it up there); chat with you & Ben; and check out Ben's newly refurbished mansion.

Alright fellas I’ve got an issue the rear end spins freely but when I put car into gear with the ass on jack stands it Bogs down and kills the engine like something’s bound up cause if you let out slow on clutch you can hear it lower engine RPMs until it kills it? But when it’s in neutral and you rev it wheel speed picks up but you can stop it with your hand completely I’m pretty confused to say the least

Also can’t get the 3rd gear or second gear to slide freely on the main shaft but the 1st and reverse one you can move back and forth freely

Back of the trans locking up? If it's an open rear, it will spin with both tires off the ground (opposite directions) even with trans in gear. Spiders at work. Could be pinion locked too.

I think we’ve decided that it’s most likely the second third gear synchro slider/ shell that’s frozen. He’s got some ideas on how to free it up

Hah! Love it. Friend of mine runs a repair shop. He's a racer. Nicest guy you ever want to meet. I noticed he had a tubing bender in his shop and asked him about doing the exhaust when I was building my coupe. He said, "Sure, but I know an old timer near here that I would want to help me do it on your coupe. He would LOVE that". I met my buddy and this old timer at his shop one day and the guy was asking me how I wanted the exhaust run. He asks me if I want mufflers on it (flathead). I said, "Nope". He smiled and said, "Perfect. That's the way". Lol.

I've got a set of flanges for a flathead laying around. You looking for the 2-bolt ones that bolt to the block?

Man I can’t wait to hear that thing rapping out the back, tearing sideways down the gravel.

you’ll have to bring it down this summer and we’ll get all the neighborhood kids talking start a whole new generation of hot rodders.

  28. You are going to have way more fun and make many more memories in the Coupe you built by hand than the Builder that made that massive investment in the Trophy Winner will ever make. Hot Rod of the year,, Big Deal.
