In the FWIW catagory, some of those Econoline and A100 vans and pu bodies are ripe for bitchin shop trucks. There had to be more than a few that graced rod and custom hangouts in the 60s. My opinion is the right year and trimmings...what could be more nostalgic? There was a silver A100 for sale not long ago. Oh to be just a lil more flu$h, the trouble I could cause myself.

  15. I think a VW van would be cool if you yanked the rubber band out and put in a 455 Toronado transaxle. Wheelies!

Check out www.vannin.com. That's where I talk about my Daily since I know nobody here wants to hear about a '94 Grand Voyager. ;)

  18. I want a 70s custom van, with a big titty mural, shag carpet, bed, wet bar, tacky as possible. What the hell's wrong with me?

I accidentally won this one on Ebay. 12 bids later and I still got it for $400 and had to rent a tow dolly and go pick it up. :D

The others I just think are cool.....

Sounds like a Boones farm ( memory check) flashback, Don't forget the heart shaped opening to get back to the bed (insert disco porn rif here).

Drive my 70's custom Chevy survivor van as often as I can. But should have kept my V8 Econo pick-up.

a lot of guys out here are running 2 liter aircooled VW engines with turbo's on it and they can do sub 18 second 1/4 miles with it. so no need to put some american powerplant in the back

  28. 18 SECONDS !?!? Is that a typo? Eighteen? With a turbo? WOW.ZZZZZZZ wake me up when we get there!

18 Seconds? My brothers POS 91 Mustang can run 2 passes in 18 seconds. Guess that's what $40k will get you. A black Fox Mustang that looks just like every other one...but damn fast! 8.67 at 168 mpg at Milan and nearly the same at Norwalk.

My dad had a '64 Econoline Falcon van when I was a kid. Had the heart cut out, shag carpet, and all that good stuff. He sold it before I turned 16. Mom made him do it.
