Sometimes it's really over and for some it's never over. "It is foolish and wrong to mourn the men who died. Rather we should thank God that such men lived." George S. Patton This Memorial Day remember those who have given the ultimate sacrifice. And every day, thank those in service that continue to give their all to keep us safe and free.
May you all have a peaceful Memorial Day in Remembrance...Thoughts are with those that gave their lives in the preservation of the Freedom we enjoy every day...
https://www.reviewjournal.com/local...ill-missing-after-death-valley-visit-2745825/ Bob Wildoner was a Vietnam Vet who made it back but mysteriously disappeared in Death Valley when he went to repair his disabled truck...He obviously had go fast in his blood by the pic shared by his family...perhaps some of you know this Veteran who apparently is still missing...
I know several active duty soldiers who hate to be Thanked for their service or have people offer to buy their lunch when out in uniform.

I admire and respect our military personnel. I know serving would have helped me grow up and straighten up at a time in my life that I was clueless. It's cringeworthy that so many of us civilians have little to no awareness of the difference between Veteran's Day and Memorial Day. I fly the flag on our house and observe the remembrance holidays. I also have been to the tomb of the unknown soldier and the Arizona memorial. Both provide a good dose of humility and somber understanding. I highly recommend each.
