It was at NSRA York in 1997 that I first learned about Scotty campers. There were several there that year and the owners graciously allowed me to tour them. Do those folks still show up? If they do please tell them I said "thank you."

Are these transmissions the same length? i.e., will you have to change the driveshaft?

Same length and driveshaft, but the trans mount is further back and will need a new cross member fabbed up. I did have to modify the floor for the larger 200R4 PXL_20240518_220550872.jpg PXL_20240518_220550872.jpg

57’s wiper arms were missing when I got it. Finally put a pair on. Also up’d the rear bumpers appearance by adding a set of back up lights. I may do a set of rocker panel molding’s to cover up the terrible fender to rocker alignment. Way cheaper than body and paint work.

My trade as a pro was finish carpentry. Molding’s to cover imperfections was a no no. Everything was scribed in. If I can hide boo boo’s with a simple pencil compass, I certainly can shim molding clip’s to create a straight line that does not exist

Got the steering together. Thought I would finally take the model a for a quick spin for the first time down the street to see how it would do. Throttle is a bit touchy. Accidentally laid rubber in front of the neighbors house, for about 20 feet. On the plus side, the posi works!

IMG_1574.jpeg IMG_1570.jpeg IMG_1573.jpeg I lost 2nd gear on the Mercury a couple weeks ago, parts are supposed to be here Monday. So what to do on a rainy day?
I pulled its eyes out to do some much needed repairs. With headlights pointing 4 different directions and 2 of them bouncing around, it was kinda hard to see at night in my rural area. Now I have some more parts on order.
