Here is your chance to save some frustration!

How low can an "A" sedan go without loosing the rear seating capabilities? (for an average adult)

what you have done with pix appreciated!

I'm running 4 little bucket seats in mine and I love having seats in the back. really small for your average persons ***, but the kids like riding back there. my seats set in between the frame rails where it is z'd. and the pimpkin is real close also but I think a sedan should have 4 seats.

  6. Hi Guys,

A friend of mind had a pretty sever chop on his sedan and still managed to have usuable back seats. I think he mouned the seat directly to the floor (not on adjustable rails). I'll try and get pics.

cool, any viable ideas would be very welcomed.

i think i saw one once that had a mustang gas tank set into the floor almost flush but not quite and then had padding over it for the seat bottom.

dont know how id feel about sitting right on top of the tank though lol

My sedan has a back bench seat. The tank and battery are behind the seat. The seat is an 80? s-10 seat. It was narrowed 4" The back is shortened 4", there is 2.5" taken out of the depth of the bottom of the seat and it is mounted on modified Doge caravan sliders. I can slide it forward and tilt the back down for acess to the tank and bat. The ch***is has a 5" Z, with a cnotch in the rails above the axle. The car is chopped 4" and channeled 3". I have had an adult back there for a short ride. he said it wasn't very comfortable. My wife is 5'4", and says it isn't bad. My daughter rides back there in a booster type car seat and is fine and I have had it full of 8 to 10 year lod kids in the neighborhood comfortable.

I have been asked in the past to do a thread on the build up of my car. this gives me the motivation to do itI just have to find the time.

These photos are courtesy of Boones I believe. I think he posted these from Louisville.

Let me know if there is any thing I can answer.

I made a package tray 10" wide to hold my speakers then made a 19 gal tank at the same angle the seat back would be angled to fit behind the seat. The seat was made from plywood then covered with foam. I have bigger pics if you need them e mailed.
