you need to check your account settings (email address etc) and if it looks ok then change your password - if the hackers have not done that for you! Cancel the auction and advise ebay (good luck with that!). Presumably they guessed your password. If people just complain to ebay it is likely that you will loose your account regardless.
Chances are that you replied to a similar great buy it now a while ago and they harvested your emaill address and ebay username.

That happened to me and luckily I found it really quickly and got it straightened out. Get in touch with an ebay representative, they will actually help. I think that they use the security questions and just guess stuff until they can change your password. I had Red Lobster as my favorite place to eat, probably wouldn't have to guess often to get that one!

Just do it from an email address that you don't give a rat's ass about. That way when the spam flod hits it won't matter.

Use Yahoo or another free email account. I own my own domain that is spam-protected and use 'dummy' email addresses from there.

that fucker selling the patina 37 ford has it rigged so you can't even email the actual account holder. no matter what you click on in the ad it goes to your email page with the scammers address already there.

I always laugh when people say thier account was hacked. it wasn't actually hacked in 95% of the cases. you answered a phoney email and gave them the information they needed.

why would they bother to hack into ebay when they can generate 100 fake emails and get 10 or more responses with all the peoples information?

NEVER GIVE OUT PASSWORDS OR OTHER INFORMATION TO ANY EMAIL THAT YOU HAVE RECEIVED. ALL LEGITIMATE EBAY EMAILS WILL BE IN YOUR "MY MESSAGES" FOLDER IN YOUR MY EBAY PAGE.
