http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/e...tem=110043172197&rd=1&sspagename=STRK:MESE:IT some asshole is using me for this auction. it IS phoney so if some of you guys could bitch to ebay for me.....
What is this scam? There was a beautiful '29 roadster on yesterday with a stupid low Buy it Now price and the same "email seller" before bidding notice. Are they just trying to harvest email addys?
you need to check your account settings (email address etc) and if it looks ok then change your password - if the hackers have not done that for you! Cancel the auction and advise ebay (good luck with that!). Presumably they guessed your password. If people just complain to ebay it is likely that you will loose your account regardless. Chances are that you replied to a similar great buy it now a while ago and they harvested your emaill address and ebay username.
did you read the payment instructions at the bottom??? Seller's payment instructions this is NOT a real auction it is a SCAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i do not have a hemi charger(wish i did) again, this is a scam!!!!!!!!
Because of the guys strong feedback, it looks like somebody else has hacked his too.I've had my ebay account hacked as well as my shipping address changed by these assholes while using my paypal account. All I had to do was forward any email from them to spoof@ebay or paypal anf they took quick care of it.Good luck
Ive been hacked before and you need to contact ebay right away change your email and passwords right away also. I actually got hold of ebay on the live chat help they have. they gave me some pointers and took the charges off my account. Check your email also they got me bad enuff they hacked my email account and i couldnt even access it. This isnt fun shit it really gets serious Dave
That happened to me and luckily I found it really quickly and got it straightened out. Get in touch with an ebay representative, they will actually help. I think that they use the security questions and just guess stuff until they can change your password. I had Red Lobster as my favorite place to eat, probably wouldn't have to guess often to get that one! CHAZ
Seriously, wtf are these guys thinking? Ill try and pull some cheep tricks on the internet instead of getting a real job? Whats this world coming to
Just do it from an email address that you don't give a rat's ass about. That way when the spam flod hits it won't matter. Use Yahoo or another free email account. I own my own domain that is spam-protected and use 'dummy' email addresses from there.
I made a complaint to eBay. The account hijacking thing is out of control on eBay. like WTF, there are some nasty assholes in this world!
Maybe it's the same guy that had a '64 Ford Thunderbolt on there a couple days ago with a buy it now of $6000.
The same scam is being pulled using the Famous Faux Patina "37" http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1937-Ford-Coupe_W0QQitemZ300037664617QQihZ020QQcategoryZ6057QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
that fucker selling the patina 37 ford has it rigged so you can't even email the actual account holder. no matter what you click on in the ad it goes to your email page with the scammers address already there. I always laugh when people say thier account was hacked. it wasn't actually hacked in 95% of the cases. you answered a phoney email and gave them the information they needed. why would they bother to hack into ebay when they can generate 100 fake emails and get 10 or more responses with all the peoples information? NEVER GIVE OUT PASSWORDS OR OTHER INFORMATION TO ANY EMAIL THAT YOU HAVE RECEIVED. ALL LEGITIMATE EBAY EMAILS WILL BE IN YOUR "MY MESSAGES" FOLDER IN YOUR MY EBAY PAGE.
yeah, no shit. i don't and still it brings me grief. btw, ebay took the auction down... now i can't even fuck with them....
