Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by buickwagon, Jun 5, 2024.

  1. Hi Guys will be in Phoenix, Arizona for work later on next week - Hot Rod shops worth visiting or maybe events ? I will be there over the weekend of the 15th June and also a few days following. I have Hot Rods by Dean on my list but any others that are secret gems ? I am visiting from Australia so would really like some "inside information" Thanks All

Hot rods by Dean is good and so is hot rod connection, it’s been a few years. Also you might want to checkout the war bird museum (ww2 airplanes) in mesa not hot rod related but very cool.

Temps are running around 110 degrees in Phoenix right now, which puts a damper on things.

  6. Make a run to Pomona California for LARS on Saturday (and/or Friday if you're around).

  7. Everyone will be at the LA Roadster Show that weekend. There is a large crusie night in Scottsdale at 101 and Indianbend Rd. Scottsdale privilions. There is also a free race car museum at the Penske Ferrari dealer at 101 and Scottsdale Road.

The Scottsdale cruise night is good if you can catch it, although I'm not sure how big it is this time of year.

Definitely check out So-Cal Speed Shop. They have some merch you can only get in the store that's AZ specific.

It's been a few years since I've been to Phoenix, I didn't know that! Looks like it's still a good stop.
