Lots of local shows, my favorites are the Hot Rod-Arama in Tacoma in August and the Unfnished Nationals in Elma Labor Day weekend.

    Not many shows in November...

    What rain?

I am just outside of Portland OR and the rain here goes into hibernation for 3 maybe 4 months in the summer.

You just get used to the liquid sunshine after a while.

i have lived in the city my whole life, first boston, and then san francisco for 16 years.it's really hard to be into old cars in the city,so i moved 45 minutes away but still commute to sf for work.so when house of tattoo in tacoma offered me a job,i took it. no more commute, and i could buy a house waaaay easier.so if you live in washington and like tattoos, come and check out my portfolio...(blatant spam)....i'm looking forward to it.i like the portland swaps, and all the hot rodders i've met from the northwest have been good to me...so why the hell not tacoma? f@*k the city!

Tacoma is great. Good scene. I grew up in the bay area and Fresno. Lived in Sac for about 3yrs. I had a couple of chances to go back, there is just to much opportunity up here. IF you you love this old ****. I have a shop in Puyallup (downtown), just a few miles from Tacoma. Come by and say Hi. We know some mutual people. Thanks

Is it some kind of migration north? Vultures are heading south right now and I'm heading north to Tacoma area (McChord) in December.
Went from rain and humidity in MD to dry and desert here in CA and now back to the rain again. Probably take me a year or two just to get used to the cold again! And the rain? ewwww This coming from an Oregonian originally. Think it rains in Tacoma more than it did home. I always said that it doesn't rain that much really, we just don't want a bunch of people moving there!:D
