Going to be replacing the block hugger headers on my 26 T with SBC. Do you prefer the copper or standard header and collector gaskets ? Thanks
I like the drop in ones that hook over the header bolts. Just back off the bolts and pick the old ones out with needle nose pliers. Drop new ones in and tighten bolts back up. No fighting the headers back into place.

Mr. Gasket regular old fiber gaskets. Soak them in water for an hour or 2 and install them dripping wet. Start and let run for a while and let them dry out. Resnug bolts after cooling off.
Hot Rod magazine taught me that in the late 70s I think. It has never failed me or my friends I told about it.
If you use Sanderson headers, you don't need a gasket. As I recall, they recommend a bead of black RTV but you know it burns off.
I always use stock manifold gaskets. And never seem to have the troubles people running header gaskets seem to have often
My Olds blew through a few sets until I installed Remflex gaskets, that set has been on there for years without leaking. I'll never use anything less.
I have been using the gaskets from this manufacturer, they are local to me so I try to support them. The gaskets are reasonably priced and work very well. https://www.ebay.com/str/soupysgaskets?_trksid=p4432023.m570.l113337
