  4. There are enough imported '75/'80 T/As being offered here but allways with the automatic transmission. Hardly ever see a 4-speed. So imagine my excitement when a lovely red 4-speed pops up for sale just 5 miles from my home. Never seen it around here and never will because the thing sold incredibly fast. All i have are the pics from the ad.

My oldest sons (what I would consider very late model) Camaro SS 6-speed. Currently putting a clutch in it after the last one tried to escape the bellhousing through the side… Sorry for the crappy pic. Seems I don’t have any good ones.

68 Z28 Camaro with my Mom 001.jpg I am absolutely a Camaro guy, this was my 68 Z28 that I ordered in 1967 when they were first released. New it was $3600, I sure wish I could have kept it but couldn't afford to keep it and buy my van to haul my motorcycle when we went racing.

Any of you Camaro guys ever heard of a 68 Z/28 with the JL8 option?

Would that be the 4-wheel disc brakes setup????.... I've only known it to be a 1969 option only...

While in high school, I drove my friend to buy a 68 Z in 1971/72, some years later he claimed it had a JL8, but I never actually saw it.

I don't know.... But the car also had a trailer hitch.... There were also 2 Indy Pace cars in '69 that had the JL-8 brakes but were dealer installed.... I wonder if Mario Andretti won one of those 2 cars.... He won the Indy 500 that year....

Been spending way too much time on FB marketplace recently and came across two 1970 Trans Am Ram IIIs’ for sale in the Montreal area. Both white with the 4 sp. Both beautifully restored and asking CAN$100K and $125K respectfully. Wish I had the money…

Agreed! When i built mine I tried everything
Rally's are Ok, TT's are nice
    upload_2024-6-11_11-3-35.jpeg
I bought 17" ET's for show, but those skinny sidewall T/A's did not ride good. Cornered good, but stiff and followed every rut.
    upload_2024-6-11_11-5-7.jpeg
But these made it ride like a caddy. The best look I think for the car.

I've owned serveral of both flavors. My high school car was a triple black 68 Camaro SS big block, 4sp...never got in trouble with that one;).
I never owned a 1st gen firebird until a few years ago. Mechanical and cosmetic restoration expect for
    paint.

    Some serious rides shown here!
This is my friend's T/A. Olds 403, so automatic no 4 speed with that engine. 20240613_163923.jpg 20240613_163912.jpg 20240613_163934.jpg We were heros in Ocean City that summer in it. Paint on my '57 was not even a dream at that point.

Later, I bought my '70 1/2 RS with no engine. 283/M21 got it down the road while I was in trade school.
    Later, dad and I painted it with lacquer. Right in the driveway. 20240613_163954.jpg 20240613_164006.jpg 20240613_164132.jpg 20240613_164222.jpg 20240613_164338.jpg 20240613_164359.jpg 20240613_164512.jpg
It ended up with a 327, urethane bushings on the suspension and a lot of uh, spirited driving!

My front fenders came from the Chevy dealer, brand new in GM boxes. Should have bought more!
