Update: Now have the title/ registration for this car. I know none of you have ever had this happen but I now, officially have too many cars! So up for grabs is my 1948 (ish, could be a 46 or 47) Mercury convert. Someone ,not me,spent a LOT of money having the bodywork and paint done on the car, but I suspect it was at least 20 years ago. So recessed firewall, Bearclaw door latches, paint that has a few nicks and scratches that could be touched up, floors replaced ,a beautiful body and one you won't have to spend a ton of money on. The trim holes have all been filled but there is some (not complete) Merc side trim. The hood is there and painted BTW just not shown in the photos. update: hood is shown in last photos. The underside is painted gold/tan which is a really nice color. Top mechanism and cylinders appear to be all there, sun visor brackets are not there but the center latch is-front header (wood) needs to be replaced-it's there but not useable. The frame is original,no steering box or running gear. Frame is usable but does require some repair, might be better to just plan on a custom frame of some sort. There are some pieces missing that I know of: the RR 1/4 glass and glass frame ,gauges, back seat (front seat is there),and some trim pieces. All the random parts that are shown on the gound have been sorted, labeled and boxed. There are a few non-Mercury parts that I have got rid of as well. Think it's best to consider you would be buying a really nice body. I can transport it to the US border in Blaine, WA or Sumas,WA. This is a 118" wheel base model. Questions Fire away!
