Some weeks ago, i saw this link about "make your own brass plate" on this JJ thread from Ryan: http://www.jalopyjournal.com/?p=293

So, a few day ago, after buying all the stuff, I've made my first try:
1/a fake ID plate for my modified project
2/a plate for a french message board (where I'm a moderator)

That technique is pretty simple, and the results are great !
I've have some kool ideas for the next steps...

I just checked out Bielle Chaude--who knew there was a French HAMB?? That's pretty interesting, even if I can't understand a thing!

Why do I think making the plaque is the easy part...coming up with a beautiful design as you did is the hard part. IMHO They look great!!

if you wanna understand it, copy and paste the URL of the site you want translated (www.rods-customs.com/forum/ in this case), then go to this site, paste it, select french to english, and it translates it.

Wow, cool stuff ... nice design ..... thought about doing some a few years ago but never got there ... may need to try it now ...

I'll have to try find some pieces that my buddy did out of Magnesium sheet ... more of a 50's 60's look ..... Cool too ...
