Navarro 3x2 Aluminum Intake for Ford V8 Flathead Boat Motor - $1,000 (UPS Ground shipping included to 48 states and Canada): Intake is approx. 60 years old - an "original" Navarro intake made in the 1960s for my late father (an engine builder, machinist, racer, and flathead spe******t most of his life). I cannot ***ess whether or not it has ever been used. The story -- My father was personal friends with Barney Navarro in the 1960s and 70s when he ran his race shop in Los Angeles (and Norwalk, CT prior to that). When cleaning out dad's garage, my mother told me that my father was building race engines for cars AND boats... and that the intake was found in a box that had been packed in Los Angeles no later than the mid 70s. Believe the 2040 stamped on the intake was for a custom build order # with Barney. Some following conversations with my cl***ic wood boat club friends... and they're in agreement. Very rare boat intake... would run great on a 1940s-50s era wood racing boat (running a 59AB Ford flathead V8) like the one in the picture below. The carb bases and stud holes are on an angle - so that the 3 carbs lean forward, but would be level under forward motion in a boat. No cracks or flaws. I was going to keep this intake and polish it (and maybe use it on my boat), so I lightly buffed (not polished, just buffed) 1/3 of the intake to see what the surface might look like if polished... see the picture. OK. Lower price. $500. Gotta clean out the garage. Found new (made in China?) car version for $650 at H&H (see link below). Mine is obviously an original... and made for a boat (or I am wondering dragster?) as the carbs sit on an angle. Look at the pics.
