I just leave the rust on them, they look so natural that way!

I blasted and coated mine with Eastwood exhaust manifold paint with a brush… they look natural to me and have stayed the same for 12 years. The shiny silver coatings are just a little too much for me. IMG_5805.jpeg

VHT header paint but they need a redo periodically.

I don't have anything with manifolds other than the daily's but I used this on my Vette when I had it. Rub it in with a rag (wear gloves, it's anti seize, quite messy).
Lasts a year or more, no overspray, no masking. I use it on M/C and cast water pumps to make them look fresh. That little tub will last for years.

These Sanderson exhaust manifolds were smoothed and re-ceramic coated.

There is a business in Harrison , Oh . . That blasts and coats exhaust manifolds . They do lots of work for Uncle Sugar .
Their work is the best I have ever seen , my Buddy had his done for his early Vette . Look as good as the day they were finished . Perfect dark gray in color .

A7771B7F-BC26-4F76-9329-629C454C4147.jpeg I have had success with Spray Graphite. Blaster Graphite Dry Lube specifically. Works on cast items that you don’t want to paint. These were done maybe 2000 miles ago.

I recommend a high temp ceramic coating.

POR-15 makes a manifold paint that works pretty good. Brush it on right over the rust !
Follow the instructions.....(does ANYBODY REALLY do that?) and it will hold up for years.

Like 6sally6 said, POR15... I used it on the manifold on my 250 engine about 15 years ago and it's still hanging in there. Mitch
