Hey everyone, I just started working for Driver, which is a video channel on Yahoo video, and I thought some of you might find it pretty cool. We just cut a video on Randy's (from the Style Kings) 1950 Dodge Wayfarer. You can check it out here: http://video.yahoo.com/video/play?&...0b.50d24f31802b062f4104f8816a7cd3fd&ex=2&b=11 Anyway, if any of you are interested in being on camera, showing off you car or collection of cars, or have footage of any shows that you want to share with the rest of the car community, feel free to let me know. I'm not trying to advertise the site in any way. I just thought it would be cool to share this resource with the rest of you. You can either email me at jgoldklang@currentmedia.com or give me a ring at 415-995-7359. Thanks! -Julian
Weird, ok well if you go to http://video.yahoo.com/currenttv/driver, you can get to the main page, and then navigate to the Wayfarer video (it should be on the second page of videos)
Great car, and I really liked the period perfect background music. Someone needs to tell Randy, though, that his statement that less than 1,000 1950 Wayfarer roadsters were made is incorrect. Actual production was 2,903 for 1950 (5,420 in '49 and 1,002 in '51).
Glad you guys liked the video. We've also done a few other pieces on some folks you all probably know, like Guido's Red Baron: http://video.yahoo.com/video/play?&...0b.50d24f31802b062f4104f8816a7cd3fd&ex=2&b=41 and Randy's 36' Packard: http://video.yahoo.com/video/play?&...0b.50d24f31802b062f4104f8816a7cd3fd&ex=2&b=71 We're mostly based in the San Francisco Bay Area, but we also will send shooters out on location, so if you want your car featured, don't be shy! let me know. And we're always buying footage too. So if you've shot a car show or event recently, we'll pay to use your footage.
