How about a slightly scaled up version of a 29 depot hack, before and after. I did the wood, Jeff Schwartz did the rest.

reminds me of a story.

I walked into Dad's shop one Saturday morning. there was a woody parked right in the middle of the shop. I said, "Wow dad a surfer car. what's wrong with it?" he said, "It is a surfer car and it needs to go to a cabinet maker. Walk around it son." The side I could not see was pretty splintered. I helped dad and the guy who owned it pull the flatty and transmission. Monday the car went away on a hook and dad put the flatty and ****** in an old pickup for the guy to drive while his wagon was getting repaired.
