Art & Inspiration Rodders Journal #86?

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by seatex, Jul 10, 2023.

  1. 6 pages of grown men yammering on about whether or not they’ve received a magazine and then posting photos once it arrives……

I miss Germ, Tech Weeks and Bruce Lancaster.

I did get an email from RJ today saying that they were at least few weeks away from having their credit card & phone call system up & running for subscriptions & renewals. If you would like you can mail them a check for subscriptions to their address: The Rodders Journal 24848 Meeting House Rd. Denton, Maryland 21629. I am gonna mail a check tomorrow.

  3. ..Good points, @Harrison. We're only pretending to be "grown men"...:D:):D:). I, like yourself, miss those as well. Germ was always fun and sadly, we'll never hear from Bruce again. Thankfully, all of his posted wisdom should be archived in the many threads on here. Good to see you pop on here now and again....Don.

That's for sure. Now anyone who hasn't gotten his Rodder's Journal yet will know where he can steal one.

  6. I will be mailing a renewal check today. Even with all of the past drama it is still the best magazine ever by a mile and worth every penny! Even if I have time left on my subscription now they can add the renewal on to it.

Germs drunken drug induced idiotic ramblings kept me away from here for years, I really don't know why that was allowed here...I for one am glad that it over,

I sold some smalls but no big ticket items. I had numerous people stop by and say I had the 2 best deuce grille shells at the show but no takers. Also no interest in the new block. I don't care what the above commenters say there was not nearly the foot traffic either day there has been in the past about 25 years I've been attending.

They're old. It doesn't take much to amuse them. :D I haven't got my issue either, but you know how things are in West Tennessee.

The French have a marketing ploy - "PPM" - stands for "Pourque Pas Moi?" => "Why not me?" That was me each time a HAMBer would post he had received #86. I have a Lifetime Membership (#2008) and yesterday I got my issue. Can't explain the delivery distribution but remember "Patience Is A Virtue." Thanks Steve, and you will receive yours shortly.

I believe the delivery distribution situation mentioned by @lucas doolin is strictly a USPS issue and is not related to TRJ in any way.

I will Not Eat ""Crow"" nor should others, I Feel
WE the Supporters / subscribers and lifetime still have not heard comments nor read statements made from Steve/TRJ , explain to us apologize etc. for what has happened the only thing that I'm aware of or have seen what happened around the beginning of Covid , Delivery problems getting the mag out since then myself and others from what I read have not seen or even had their emails answered ,
""especially the overseas supporters """to the situation ,, Im happy to receive my magazine but still like to have some kind of communication or statement from Steve/TRJ
is that too much to ask for ,
then things would be over and people feel more comfortable / understanding with the situation /Delay !!!

There's a T shirt saying "I Told You I Would Do It... You Don't Have T Keep Reminding Me Every 6 Months". I am a First Class Procrastinator so I am required to have patience with others. I kept the faith and was rewarded yesterday with my issue#86. I am a lifetime subscriber and plan to be around a few more years.

Decades ago a buddy convinced me to join NSRA Lifetime Membership. I've done really well on their magazine subscription even though they no longer support the Northwest with an event.

If you feel like you did something wrong ,I guess eat your Crow,
I do not think you need to eat crow , Nor I do not think you did anything wrong about this topic

  27. Time for some remedial reading and give-a-shit courses down at the local post office.
The post mistress wasn’t impressed either.
Regular delivery gal is on vacation. She always puts on the porch.
The sub screwed up three days in a row!
Left my Fathers Day gift from my son on the hood of the truck!

Lifetime subscriber, mine here when I returned from 10 day vacation. Pretty clear that TRJ is dedicated to honoring their end of the bargain, however long it takes.
Beautiful tribute to him in the issue - well done @TRJ Steve and gang!
