NEED HELP: Motorcycle Wheels

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Beep, Oct 13, 2006.

  1. I need help. I am trying to get my AA/F coupe re-creation back up on four wheels. I really screwed up and am now paying dearly for it. I had a complete front end with a set of wheels mounted properly, but the hubs were rusted, the spokes were rusted, one wheel was slightly bent and the tires were dry rotted. I needed to rebuild the whole deal. I removed the wheels and spokes to do the rebuild, and here is where I screwed up, I threw away the spokes since they were beyond repair. I need to know where there is a motorcycle shop near the Houston area that can re-build these wheels. What I have now is the hubs, re-chromed. What Ineed is new spokes, two new 19" wheels and two new 3.25 x 19" tires.

I may have to get on my knees and ask Evilfourdcoupe for forgiveness. He looked at them, gave me a quote and I nearly croaked at the price. I asked him to return the hubs to me. Now, after a little research, his price doesn't look so bad.

I am looking for a HAMB'r motorcycle shop that can do this. ANy ideas?

  2. Go on the Jockey Journal and ask around. What's the Jockey Journal you ask? Why it's the motorcycle sister to the HAMB.

http://www.jockeyjournal.com/forum/ is the link to take you there.

Another option may be to contact "Buchanen Spoke". Search on the net for them.

They build up custom wheels all the time and can make spokes for you.

I'm having the wheels for my franken-cafe built up by them. :D
