1967-1971 Ford Mustangs V8 cars used the same brake shoes front and rear as 1952-54 Ford cars. The later 8" rears in most cars will have self adjusting brakes, a conversion that has been done by members here over the years. More information is in the "Sticky FAQ" section. Go to Page 5 in the "Sticky FAQ" Post # 145 how to use Mustang drums and save $$$ is there.
i put an 8" in the 54 from a 65?? mustang. Everything swapped over accept i had to move the mounts to the other side of the axle tubes. Also the axle tubes were narrower so had to find some early mustang U bolts and then just re-drilled the holes in the mounting plates. While i was at it i added self-adjusters.
One of our members posted how to modify the Mustang drums to use them on 1952-54 Fords with pictures, I wish that would have been posted in the "Sticky" I hope they read this so we can put it in there. Page 5 Post # 145 has pictures and part numbers.
This is a post for the front hubs, not sure if that's what you were looking for. You'll have to scroll to the top.
See post # 3 for info on using the front drums. https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/front-drum-interchange.1190043/
