Summer of 1966 with hair and wanting a Gasser looking ride I took the front bumper of my 55 Buick to get "the look" or so I thought.
I worked in the Renton Wa Boeing plant that summer bucking rivets on the window panels for 727 Jets. Dang, that was 59 years ago.
That Buick is still one of my favorite cars that I ever owned though. Screenshot (472).png

Then years later in 1988, I had my 51 Merc that I bought when I was 16, sold a couple of years later and then bought back for 10.00 and my buddy and I towed it home with the 55 Buick and it sat until 1980 before I got to work on it. I was in the camp ground behind the Puyallup fair grounds a bit heavier, a little less hair and pretty damned happy.
Dang this photo is 36 years old

  12. Pretty sure this one is from right at 36 years ago. This was just a pickup I was fixing to paint. All my own cars from years ago were OT... No comment on the beer drinking, pot smoking, long haired hippy driving obnoxious stuff status other than it might have described me at the time as well. Seems this thread could make us all start to feel old...

The tintype photo of me and my burro was taken as photo evidence by the man with a star on his vest and a long barrelled pistola
That's how we used to haul ass....

61 years ago I got my picture in Apr. 63 Hot Rod Mag. at the Great Western Exhibit Center 3rd Winternationals Car Show in So.Cal.

A "coke-bottle-bottom" bespeckled Hotrodjack at the Revell Model Car display. That picture made me somewhat of a legend among my buddies at John Foster Dulles elementary school in La Mirada, Ca:D
