Last week I get a call from this dude, whom desperately needs some minor service work to his baby. Turns out daughter number 3 getting hitched THIS Saturday and wants to drive his car in the wedding. Being a ****er for a sob story…I agreed to squeeze this into my schedule. She didn’t need much. Oil change and lube job, fresh spark plugs, adjust carb, machine front drums and adjust all brakes. Front tires had WAY too many cracks, for my liking, so ordered new Firestones. Hopefully they get here in time. Overall, she’s a good old girl, a few rough edges, but 100% rock solid. A new convertible top would be a nice touch, but that’s gonna have to wait as well. Some of the upgrades include Fenton headers and dual exhaust, and a 12 V electrical upgrade with a alternator, and MSD ignition. And electric fuel pump. In my humble opinion, all worthy upgrades. JT
Cabriolets are the bomb! Best of both worlds. My wife and I rode away from the church in my pal Kenny's '36 Ford cabriolet in 1996. Hope it goes well for them. And you.
