I would really like to get a matching set of tires for my roadmaster. Coker's site lists the 800-15 as my match... These have a height of 29.08", x-section of 8.3" and tread of 4.75", they are $133.00

The h78-15 is $30 cheaper, and has a height of 28.46", x-section of 8.55" and tread of 5.74".

Will these work okay for me... This will be the first time buying tires that did not involve going into Belle Tire and getting a matched set of factory sized tires.

    The l78-15 looks close also...

  2. And if you become an alliance member you'll get them even cheaper

I would stick with the 800-15 if I were you... but it really depends on what you are putting them on.

If you get an alliance membership ($50 a year), you will most likely make your money back on that purchase... possibly even save a few bucks total...

Is there any reason in particular to stay with the 800-15 vs going with the others? They are for a 56 roadmaster that will end up being a mild custom with a 3" or so drop. I already plan on the alliance membership... But going with the other tires that look really similar in size will save me another $100 or more...

  5. the L78 is ok but i would really recommend the 800. It is a much nicer looking tire since it has the edge fluting (pie crust) and a nicer looking tread. THe L78 also has a bulgy looking sidewall.

I bough L78's for my T and i'm sick of looking at em. I just picked up some 820's i'm going to swap on this winter.

You know if you get a differant size then don't like them you are out a whole lot more, besides with an alliance number you will save money anyway. Just don't do something you will regret

The 56 super parts car I bought has a pair of gr78-15 generals on it that I think look pretty darn good... Ryan... the 800-15s are taller, but not wider, are you refering to height as what makes the bigger tire? I definitely don't want to buy a set and regret it, but like I said the gr78s on the super look good, so I don't know why I wouldn't like the look of the h or l series. Does anyone have some of the 800-15 or 78 series cokers that they can post a picture of for me?

  9. How about a side by side comparison, the pictures I've seen on tire web sites have a generic wide whitewall tire picture next to all of their catalog listings.

Agreed... That would be super helpful

  11. Shit, looks pretty good to me! Car is nice, too.

  12. In my personal opinion I would go with the 800-15s, they would look better on that kind of car. If I can answer any questions just give me a call or shoot me a e-mail:)
    Thanks,

Good luck using it. I called them last week, and was told they needed my HAMB login name and password to verify my membership, and haven't had any response yet. -

Guys- An email this morning was answered promptly. My order was processed, and I saved about $20.00 a tire on the Coker Classic WWW's. No problems. -Mike
