graduated HS then couple months later bought this in Sept '79... owned it till '93 then sold it like a dumbass because circle track racing seemed more important. still miss it everyday.
Bought a 70 GT Torino in JR high before l had a license so by the time l was driving age I was still gathering parts for the Torino Dad sold me his 74 f100 he bought new that became my high school ride. Installed a cam,4 barrel, and headers some wheels messed with the interior and I was ready to go.
I actually didn't keep any of my highschool rides long enough to count. Usually only kept them about a week or two. Did have my 62 Cadillac coupe DeVille mild custom two months before I politely returned it to the Vietnam vet that was nice enough to work a payment plan with the offer that if I couldn't afford it I could bring it back no hard feelings (he told me he didn't wanna sell it....wife wanted a brand new 2001 Cadillac.....said the two months I had the 62 was just long enough she got to missing it lol) he even made me take the payments id been making bi weekly back since I had not only kept it clean it also didn't get so much as a scratch lol. But the closest to a high school ride I had was a 86 Cutlass I bought a year after high school. Still have it though it's been sitting on my grandma's old property years waiting for me the slap the big block and cage I always intended to put in it lol
Had the 68 Camaro in high school, but never actually drove it to school. My daily senior year was this 97 Z28 30th anniversary edition car. It was a pretty clean car, had all the LT1 4th gen F body problems, as soon as I did a tune up on it, I put it up for sale because I never ever want to work on a Opti Spark motor again.
