Looking to see pics of crazy things you might have seen in your travels that were made into a car body that wasnt originally used for that purpose. Im gonna put together a lil round towner with an old carnival ride body with a flatty 6 cyl , 51 Ford truck grill for a front bumper if it looks right.

How is that supposed to even come close to "looking right"?

not quite a body, but I've seen wheelbarrows and Radio Flyer wagons used as firewall recesses.

They make a die-cast of that? I've collected several movie cars like from Bullet, Christine, Herbie, etc. I'd like to see one of those up close.

Remove the headlight buckets and you have a center bar and 3 bullets / teeth. Not at grill height but down low.

An old, slightly infamous car from the HAMB...
I believe it started life as a '55 Chevy truck fender

I saw an aluminum boat turned upside down and backwards made into a really, really nice roadster- and the "boattail" part was spot on!

You mean like Coffin's, Horse Drawn Carriages, Pop Corn Stands, Hot Dog Carts, Bathtubs, and that kind of nonsense?

    Yeah, people have done that.

Yeah right. Like anyone would ever stick four wheels and an engine on a belly tank. ;)

wasnt there a thread that had a old fridge as a body with a crosey motor?
I kinda remember a pic of a HD sidecar (without a bike attached) that had been converted to a car and had a flathead 45 motor mounted on the side.

I could actually see that as being used for a trim piece of some sort on either a lower side panel or as a center concel in a woody or something like that and working......

Many Years ago, a fellow from Ohio, I Believe, made a car out of a Amusement park ride. I was called the Rocket Car.

I seated 12 poeple, Had toranado running gear. I saw it several time at York and also Columbus.

I know I have pictures some where.

have some faith and imagination you guys, there is plenty of cool old surplus stuff that could work. Those old 20's roadster bucket bodies are little more than a metal bucket that you sit in anyways. I think i remember seeing a mocked up llittle rod on eGay with a carnival ride body a couple years ago. It looked kinda cool.

As long as you dont make it like that frying pan car!

That rolled edge looks like a 55 Chevy Pickup box. Any more pics of this car?

Oh yeah, I love showrods. The Manure Spreader was one of the best....

Boothill Express, the Cop-ter Rod, The Beg Buggy, the Out House....

The Elegant Farmer was made from a wheel barrow.

No pics, bummer. But in the Kansas City area there is a Crosley powered Crosley refrigerator. Kinda crude built, but that is Crosley for you anyway.

Also, some guy had a giant shopping cart, seems like it was powered by a blown rat motor, but not sure, it has been a while since I saw it. He did promotions for grocery stores. It would run and drive. He died a while back, wonder where the cart went?

Motorcycle related, a guy up north has an Indian with a trashcan bodied sidecar.

A guy down the road owned a fiberglass cow bodied car for a short time. You'd sit in the middle of its back. Mostly a parade vehicle, I suspect.

May not of been the same one but I saw a giant engine powered shopping car being trailered down the highway here in NC this this summer, he was going the other way so I didn't get a good look.
