  5. Mucking around with arm ratios, back arms need to be longer. I hope to use gas struts to hold the front body up, it only needs to go up enough for me to get in/ out without a fight. JW

Just binge viewed the entire 26 pages. Wish I'd found it back at the start. Nice bit of work. Cars and Coffee trip to Southwards next summer?

  7. Thanks and won't be making Southwards as it's too hard to get to from home, will have it in Levin in October and the Featherston show in November. JW

  10. Small bit of progress, made the panels and fitted them. Just need to work out the two side bits that go under the seat, the back bits have a bulk head to stop things rolling away and back into the hard to get out area. JW

  11. Got the six floor panels wrapped up today. as i was welding in some side supports i had a thought.... will the seat still squeeze out, short story NO! Removed them (not really needed) and presto it worked, getting the seat in/out is like a Chinese puzzle.
I have some bits arriving tomorrow, fuel pressure reg, fuel filter and rollover valve so i can finish that system off. More on that soon. Moving forward.:) JW

  14. Finally got the final fuel system parts, spent an hour or so moving them around, getting different fittings and bending some tube. This is how it will be for now and need to fit a mount to the tank to hold the regulator and filter. I know the regulator should be closer to the carb but will try this and see. Need to drop the lower body to remove the tank to weld the mounts on the front of it and make the final tube from filter to the fuel tank outlet. Still need to finish the fuel shut off valve also. JW

  15. Was going to make some cribs for the front wheels to allow the lower body to slide out but made these stands instead. They break down for transport or storage. JW

  16. Been very cold at night so don't get out in the shop much after work but been doing small bits in the weekends like mounting points for leg protectors and other safety stuff. Will do all needed so i can strip it down in the next month or so and paint the frame and put all finished items back on. JW

  17. Took the fuel tank to work and had Todd do his magic with some ally TIG welding on some mounting blocks on the tank, these will hold the fuel pressure regulator, two on the top for the breather tube that will have the roll over valve the the end and another for a bracket to hold a return spring for the fuel shutoff valve. JW

  18. Also cut out the first safety panels for my legs. These will need some fine tuning and most likely some thin padding and i will get in and see how i fit with them, its a start. More soon. JW

  24. Due to the R/H leg guard fitting where it needed to be i ran into some clearance issues with the brake lever which when resolved created clearance issues with the safety fuel valve lever thing, the fix will be to remove the mount for it an refit it closer to the outside in the frame. This is where i got it to fit best but was still in the way. JW

  26. Dave, it worked fine before but needed to tweak the brake handle a little for the leg guard and moved the issue. I have almost done making the new bracket. JW

  27. Made and try fitted the other two safety panels... all good there and also re mounted the fuel shut off lever and will work fine now. Next up will be some seat supports to stop the seat back collapsing rearward in an OH SHIT moment. More soon. JW
