Has anyone installed a '41 to 48 split windshield? Do I insert the windshield into the rubber seal first before attempting to install it from the inside of the vehicle? Also, is the stainless trim installed before or after windshield is in place?

    ^^^^like he said ^^^^
I lay the whole thing out on the outside and set the bottom split of the rubber on the pinch weld to help “start” the installation. I pull the rope from inside the car. It helps to have a helper push from the outside but I have done it by myself as well. Lube up the rubber and tge pinch weld. Go slow, have patience.

The Van Pelt Sales site has a complete tutorial with illustrations of the '41-'48 windshield installation.
