This is my long term project. It's a 1935 Ford Sedan Delivery. I haven't seen many of these....there must be a few around. I would love to see pics of others. Enjoy Terry
custom 1936 Ford station wagon Hello, To cap off a year’s worth of stories and art work, I made one last hot rod for the last day of this year. The photos in the topic “Any 35/36 Ford Sedan Delivery Pics?” gave me lots of inspiration, especially, @twofords and the sedan delivery road trip car show. I drew a tire with wire spokes similar to a Buick Skylark Wire Wheel. But, it looked funny, so I changed it a little with outlined letters via 1960 Goodyear Race Car Tires, not the 70’s awful full raised lettering. As I finished the outlined letters, they look good on real tires, but awful on artwork, well at least on my artwork. So, back to the solid letters that they did have in 1960-65. Now, I needed a hot rod to go with the lettering and wire rims. I chose a 1936 Ford Sedan, then a 36 Ford Sedan Delivery and finally, modified both to get an extended station wagon… not a woody. Then by chance, I fell asleep during the art work. As I fell asleep, an errant finger slipped over a letter and it ended up on the tire. With a dribbling, endless sssssssssssssssss all the way across the screen. With a modified letter, I made a funny comment tire. Then it hit me. This year has been a great year that started out as A GOOD YEAR. Our So Cal weather was nice as it has been besides being in the middle of winter along the shoreline. We took many trips to the beach to watch the surfers do their thing on the consistent So Cal waves. As it got to spring and summer, it began to be T-shirt weather as it usually is. My wife likes it warm to hot as she can wear little and stay cool. No more thick ski jackets and sweaters. Our granddaughter is doing extremely well in college and she started as a sophomore in January, had a great summer and now is a Junior with one more year to go… Yikes… She was just a little girl living with us from 6 months to 12 years old as our history continues. Jnaki So, we finally finished our house/yard and can now just sit back and relax. It took most of the year, but as it is almost the new year, we did well for a couple of old folks. But, the 36 Ford Sedan Delivery made into a station wagon was calling out to make a chopped custom car… So, a chopped 1936 Ford Station Wagon was drawn, lowered, and chopped with skirts As difficult as it looked and it looked awful, I had to finish and modify it again to make a nice 1936 Ford El Camino. No, it looks like a truck and car… that is what I used to hear in 1965 with my red 65 El Camino.. so, I drew a old/new 36 Ford El Camino to end the GOOD YEAR… YRMV
